The Pedaling for Mental Health Charity Bike Ride is a non-competitive ride, not a race. It will feature rolling hills and winding country roads around scenic and historic cities in Guilford County. The start/stop will be Ragsdale High School located at 1000 Lucy Ragsdale Road, Jamestown, North Carolina 27282.
This charity bike ride was conceived to focus on the importance of Mental Health Awareness as it is nationally recognized during the month of May. Our intent is to encourage adults and children, especially students aged 12 and up as well as teachers, healthcare workers, and various other essential workers in our communities, to consider cycling as a way to balance mental and physical health. Thus, there is something for every ability along the safe 20K (12.5 miles), 50K (31 miles), or 100K (62 miles) routes. The event features SAG (Support and Gear) vehicles that patrol the clearly marked routes as well as well-stocked rest areas.
Net proceeds from this event will benefit Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist Behavioral Health Division and the Brenner Children's Mental Health Fund.
